Tống Y Nhân Named in Renewed Vu Mong Lung Death Allegations as Psychic Prophecy Fuels Online Storm
BEIJING / INTERNATIONAL – 10 March 2026
Chinese actress Tống Y Nhân has been thrust back into the centre of controversy surrounding the death of actor Vu Mong Lung after anonymous leaks and viral social-media posts accused her of orchestrating or contributing to the events that led to his fatal fall on 11 September 2025.

The official Beijing Public Security Bureau report continues to classify Vu’s death as accidental, attributing it to blunt-force trauma from a high-rise plunge while intoxicated (blood-alcohol level 0.18%). The case was closed within days, with no autopsy details released and no criminal elements identified.
Yet the narrative never settled for millions of fans. Leaked audio of screams, airport photographs showing scars and a shaved head, a purported final notarised declaration detailing years of alleged coercion and abuse, and persistent claims of surveillance have kept #JusticeForVuMong Lung trending on overseas platforms for months.
Now Tống Y Nhân—long described as one of Vu’s closest friends in the industry—has become the focal point of the latest wave of speculation. Several unverified chat logs and screenshots shared on Telegram and Discord purport to show messages from Tống Y Nhân to an unnamed third party in the days leading up to Vu’s death. One alleged exchange reads: “He’s talking too much again. Handle it before it spreads.” Another claims she was seen leaving Vu’s residential complex shortly before the fall was reported.
Tống Y Nhân’s team has issued a categorical denial: “Ms. Tống has had no involvement in Mr. Vu’s passing and is deeply saddened by these baseless, malicious rumours. She has not been contacted by any authority regarding this matter.” The actress has not posted publicly since early February, with her Weibo and Douyin accounts inactive except for one promotional still dated 28 February.
Adding a surreal layer to the controversy, a Vietnamese psychic medium known as “Bà Sáu” (Madame Six) posted a widely shared video prophecy on 7 March claiming to have foreseen Tống Y Nhân’s future. In the 12-minute clip, viewed more than 28 million times on overseas platforms, the medium describes “a woman in white surrounded by black shadows” whose “path ahead is sealed in darkness and retribution that cannot be escaped.” While the prophecy does not name Tống Y Nhân explicitly, fans have interpreted the description—combined with the timing—as directly referencing her.
The psychic video has been removed from most domestic Chinese platforms but continues to spread via mirror links and international fan pages. No evidence connects the prophecy to any verifiable information about the case; it remains purely speculative.
The Avaaz petition calling for an independent international forensic review of Vu Mong Lung’s death has added more than 220,000 signatures in the past 72 hours, many citing the Tống Y Nhân allegations and the psychic prophecy as further reason for external scrutiny. Human Rights Watch reiterated its call for “transparent reinvestigation when credible allegations of foul play persist,” though it has not commented on the prophecy.
Chinese authorities have not acknowledged the new claims or the viral psychic video. Searches for “Tống Y Nhân Vu Mong Lung,” “Bà Sáu prophecy,” or related terms return no results or unrelated entertainment content. Tống Y Nhân’s agency has reportedly hired additional security amid online harassment directed at her.
Whether the Tống Y Nhân connection is a genuine lead, a grief-driven rumour, or part of a coordinated disinformation effort may never be determined inside China. Outside its borders, however, the combination of alleged betrayal by a close friend and a psychic’s ominous warning has transformed private mourning into a public demand that shows no sign of fading.
