A 2009 email from Jeffrey Epstein has just sent shockwaves across the internet. Epstein wrote: “Where are you? Are you ok? I loved the torture video.”
The recipient replied: “I’m in China, will be back in the US in the second week of May.” This timing perfectly matches Benjamin Netanyahu’s official visit to China at that time — sparking massive speculation about a secret connection between Epstein and top global political figures.
Although the exact identity of the sender remains heavily debated, this redacted email once again raises disturbing questions: Why were these sensitive documents hidden for so many years? How deep do Epstein’s ties with world leaders really go?

A 2009 email from Jeffrey Epstein referencing a “torture video” has resurfaced in the latest batch of U.S. Department of Justice documents, sparking widespread discussion online. However, claims linking the email to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are false and have been debunked by fact-checkers.
The Email Content (April 24, 2009):
- From Jeffrey Epstein: “Where are you? Are you ok, I loved the torture video.”
- Reply from recipient: “I am in china I will be in the US 2nd week of may.”
The recipient was initially redacted. U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie highlighted the email and noted it appeared to involve “a Sultan.” DOJ officials later confirmed the correspondence was with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, the prominent Emirati businessman and then-Chairman and CEO of DP World.
Who Is Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem?
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem is a key figure in Dubai’s business world and led DP World, one of the largest port and logistics operators globally. The released files show extensive email exchanges between him and Epstein over several years, covering business matters, personal topics, and references to women. No criminal charges have been brought against bin Sulayem in relation to these communications.
Following the document releases, bin Sulayem stepped down from his leadership roles at DP World.
Debunked Claims About Netanyahu
Social media speculation suggested the timing matched Netanyahu’s visit to China. In reality:
- Netanyahu did not visit China in April 2009. He met with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi in Jerusalem around that time.
- Fact-checking outlets like Snopes have rated claims connecting Netanyahu to this email as false. The recipient was the UAE tycoon.
Jeffrey Epstein
The “torture video” reference remains unexplained in public records, with no additional context released about its content or origin. This email is part of a broader release of millions of pages from the Epstein investigation, exposing his wide network among powerful individuals in business, politics, and other spheres.
These documents raise ongoing questions about transparency, accountability, and the depth of Epstein’s connections. However, being named in the files does not equate to criminal involvement for every individual mentioned.
The story continues to evolve as more analysis emerges from the massive document dump.
