LONDON / NEW YORK – In a quiet hotel room in Australia, Virginia Giuffre sat upright, eyes steady even as her voice occasionally broke. “I was 17 when I was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew,” she said in an exclusive 2025 interview with 60 Minutes Australia. “Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell arranged everything. They called it a ‘massage,’ but it was organized sex trafficking.”
Virginia first encountered Epstein in 1999 at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, where she worked part-time. Ghislaine Maxwell approached her with promises of education and better opportunities. Within weeks she was inside the Palm Beach mansion, then flown to New York, London, and Little St. James—the island victims later called “Pedo Island.” There she witnessed and at times participated in servicing powerful guests: politicians, scientists, billionaire businessmen, and a member of the British royal family.
Court documents unsealed between 2019 and 2025 reveal Epstein’s sophisticated system: recruiting vulnerable teenage girls, grooming them into “sex servants,” and using them to lure fresh victims. Virginia was among the few who dared to fight back in court. In 2015 she sued Ghislaine Maxwell for defamation; in 2021 she reached a civil settlement with Prince Andrew (who has consistently denied all allegations). Both cases helped shatter the protective shield Epstein had maintained for decades.
What makes Virginia’s story especially painful is the prolonged silence of the powerful. Multiple witnesses, including Epstein’s private pilot, confirmed flights carrying underage girls to private locations.
