Newly circulated surveillance footage from 2010 is once again drawing intense public attention to Prince Andrew’s past association with financier Jeffrey Epstein. The short clip, recorded outside Epstein’s well-known Manhattan townhouse, appears to show the British royal standing near the entrance of the property and behaving in a manner some observers say resembles that of a host greeting or seeing off visitors.

The video was captured by a security camera positioned across East 71st Street, offering a clear view of the front of Epstein’s imposing seven-story residence on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In the footage, Prince Andrew can be seen lingering near the doorway while guests enter and leave the building. At one point, he appears to exchange a friendly wave with a departing visitor before turning back toward the entrance.

What has sparked renewed debate is the impression created by the interaction. Rather than appearing as someone simply passing through, Prince Andrew seems comfortable standing by the front door, briefly acknowledging guests and gesturing as they come and go. For critics, the scene raises questions about how closely he was involved in the social environment surrounding Epstein during that period.

By 2010, Epstein had already become a controversial public figure due to earlier legal issues, and his connections to prominent individuals were increasingly being scrutinized. Despite that growing controversy, his Manhattan townhouse remained a place where influential figures from politics, finance, academia, and entertainment were known to visit.

The property itself had long been associated with Epstein’s network of powerful contacts. With its ornate interiors and strict privacy, the mansion functioned as a private meeting space where conversations and gatherings took place far from the public eye. As a result, even brief glimpses of activity outside the building have taken on greater significance in the years since.

Supporters of Prince Andrew have previously stated that his interactions with Epstein were limited and that he eventually distanced himself from the financier. Nevertheless, the resurfacing of surveillance material continues to fuel discussion because it visually documents moments from a period that remains heavily scrutinized.

While the footage does not reveal the purpose of the visit or the nature of the interactions taking place inside the townhouse, it adds another visual fragment to the larger story surrounding Epstein’s social world.

More than a decade after it was recorded, the brief clip serves as a reminder of how ordinary scenes captured by security cameras can later become key points of debate when linked to figures whose past associations remain the subject of global attention.
